Heddendorp strikes again

Sensation Nr.2! Daniel did a new personal best time over five kilometers in Mettmann.

Daniel Heddendorp member of the 2. Triathlon Bundesliga Team Roseversand Bocholter WSV used last Sunday the championship of the NRW Elite Duathlon in Mettmann as the first performance check. After several hard weeks of training with very good results, a new personal best should get out on the race day.
In the strongly occupied elite field, the running talent from Bocholt could take the lead right at the beginning and put pressure on his competitors. This results in a new personal best of 16:20 min for the first five kilometers. He changed his bike lying on Rank 2.
The notorious high profile bike course in Mettmann stretched the athletes to the limit. "The bike course was just hard. I missed the last sleaziness to put on the bike even more pressure on the others. In the end I was down the drain and I only wanted to finish. "
Nevertheless, Heddendorp defends his good position with contact to the top until the final 2500 meter run. Seconds should decide the day's victory. With a strong time of 1:01:30min Heddendorp achieved a remarkable 5th place in the championship standings NRW and underscores his rapidly increasing form.
"Up to the very front there wasn't missing much. Place 1 to 5 were within one minute to the finish. The race was a successful test for the German Duathlon Championships in Oberursel in about two weeks. The direction is correct and the result motivates me in the coming weeks to continue working hard." sums up Heddendorp his race.
Right now Heddendorp is with his brother in a short training camp in Essen to place once again short intensity training peaks in preparation for the first major highlight of the season the German Championship of the Elite Duathlon.
